A little of both. You don't look like a last place team, but you need to improve in order to compete for first.

Considering that your top guy Vlad didn't play 2 days, and klesko hasn't been playing much this week either its understandable your having a down week.

You seem to have a few people on your pitching that I personaly wouldn't choose. You should post a few people available in FA so we can look at them and make some suggestions.

You're offense looks strong across the whole lineup. However, I would be very worried about your pitching. You may want to scour the waiver wires and/or consider pulling some trades to bolster your pitching. For example, you could trade Womack or Renteria for a solid starting pitcher since you don't need both of them.

I don't really like any of the available pitching options on the free agent wire. What you should do is look at the rosters of the other teams, and find the ones that have lousier shortstops than Womack. Then propose a trade with them. You should be able to get a quality starting pitcher for him, definitely not in the RJ/Schilling/Pedro/Zito calibre but probably a top 20 to 30 pitcher.

I waited after Runelvys Hernandez got his first impressive win for KC, but I grabbed him in all three of my leagues today after he won his second. I dropped Lackey in two leagues and Elmer Dessens in one. Two games, 2 wins, .60 ERA. He should be available, and is probably worth a look.
It's time to roll the dice.
