Two recent threads have asked who is a lock for the hall of fame, and who should be in but is not. It got me wondering- who is in the hall of fame, but does not deserve it?
I don't get too upset with the VC choices with turn of the century players, but two of the more recent players they voted in was annoying. Rizzuto and Mazeroski don't belong.
The only player voted in by the Baseball Writers that never sat well wth me was Tony Perez.
I saw Maz play and let me tell u he was not hall of famer excwellent fielder but you can stop therre! I would rather see bobby richardson in hall than him and im not yankee fan!
There is only 1 player who has struck out more than 2000 times...and Reggie Jackson is that man with 2,597 K's. His career batting average was .262.
There are people out there who do not think Rafael Palmeiro is a hall of famer or is borderline at best...compare (through 6/12)...

Palmeiro beats him across the board (except HR's for now...Raffy ain't done yet). Reggie Jackson is one of the most overrated players of all-time...homeruns aren't everything. I believe Palmeiro is a hall-of-famer, but I think Reggie falls short.

Nobody is saying Raffy shouldn't be in the hall are they? Are you familiar with the HOF Standards? Well, you might want to be before you start spouting off that Mr. October shouldn't be in the hall of fame. As Michael Jackson would say... "That's ignorant! That's just ignorant!".
