He still doesn't get nearly enough credit. People still mention Mike Cameron's defense over his. :-P

Yeah I know I'm super biased, but he is doing something really special....

I wonder how he stacks up with the greatest fielding CF's? He is easily the best right now....

He's easily the best that you watch play....but lots of people, and most people that I hear talk about defense, say Andruw Jones is the best CF in baseball. It's hard to judge defensive skill when people are too easily persuaded by diving catches and fielding percentage.

Cameron and Hunter are both great defensive center fielders, but they're both beaten by one man:

I saw the game. He robbed a double. There is no way in hell that would've got over the wall. It probably would've hit the middle of the fence. I'm not taking anything away from Torii, but it was DEFINITELY not going to be a home run.

Baseball Tonight/SC will confirm this.

For me it's a tie between Hunter and Druw. While Torii doesn't get enough credit, he isn't EASILY the best at all.

Like I said I am very biased.... however the more i think about it, they are a lot closer then I initially thought

I've watched 20+ Braves games now and the majority of the Twins games, and would have trouble accepting that Jones is better then Hunter, but I'll listen to it.... Cameron - nope - we actually just won the other day as Cameron missed two cutoff men and let FatCroy rumble his softball playing ass around the bases!

I agree it was close, however double, homer, or whatever it was a great grab that only a few guys would of even been to the track or let alone get a glove on, Thome blasted it...
