Rocco Baldelli (OF) TB is expected to be out of the lineup for at least a few days with a sprained ligament in his left thumb, according to the AP. He only made an appearance as a defensive replacement in center field in the ninth inning on Saturday. "Don't know how long he'll be out," Devil Rays manager Lou Piniella said. "We'll see how much improvement we see in the next couple, three days."
He should just wear a skirt on the field, I swear he is as wimpy as they come.
What a moronic comment. How's he supposed to swing a bat with a thumb ligament injury? I suppose there's also an unstated reference here to his missing two gaes with food poisining. Maybe you think that's just a flu bug. If you do, you never had food poisining.
I agree, what an idiotic comment. There are a lot worse people you can pick on for not playing. But how dear he not play w/ food poisoning or ligament injury in his thumb.
I also love how you say he is wimpy just for these two things, yet he has been fine every other game as a professional going back to the minor leagues.
Maybe you should go argue about how Drew and Griffey are wimps, but oh yeah they have been playing this year. Guess you people have to pick on someone otherwise you have nothing else to do.
IMO, Juan Gone is in a league of his own when it comes to wimpiness. At least Drew and Griffey had legitimate injuries...Juan just thinks he's injured. It's truly pathetic.

as per baldelli... man, food poisoning is an awful, awful thing, and a sprained ligament prevents you from clutching things firmly, especially in the thumb, I would imagine.
Give a man a fish and he'll eat for a day, teach a man to fish and he'll drown because you forgot to teach him to swim.
