SKINNY: Ordonez, rehabbing his knee after arthroscopic surgery, hopes to resume running and other baseball-related activities this weekend in anticipation of a return to the lineup in the first week of July, the Chicago Tribune reports.

SPIN: That would be earlier than his expected return, but not unreasonably early. "I haven't played in a couple of weeks," Ordonez said. "I'm going to start doing some swings and get my rhythm back. It's not easy."

sweeeeeet, let's hope this is plausible. clearly maggs will be back ASAP considering this is a contract year.
