Who will replace this bum? How many more saves are they going to let him blow before they shut him down?

Closer in Colorado... who wants that job? has to be the worst job in baseball next to being the Expos head coach

Chacon was moved from starter to closer by Hurdle. When the skipper makes a bold move such as this one, it usually means a much longer leash than in other situations. Hurdle is convinced Chacon will eventually be a good closer, and with the team obviously a non-contender again, I think he'll continue to get chances. Fuentes was speculated to perhaps be first in line, but he got hurt. Beyond that, who knows and who cares? Owning Rockies pitchers is just not going to benefit anyone in the long run.

I agree that Hurdle will give Chacon a pretty long leash...but the problem I have with him closing...he is the best pitcher on the Rockies....but I really did expect him to do a little better than what he has... :-/

The strange thing....although he has a High ERA at home....his road ERA is almost 3 points higher... :-?
