Help needed regarding "Holds"

Postby JamesBond007 » Sat Jun 12, 2004 2:59 pm

Which one of these guys do you think will give me the best combination of Holds and ratios from here on out?

Tom Martin,LA
Scott Eyre,SF
Chris Hammond,OAK
Ricardo Rincon,OAK
Paul Shuey,LA
Steve Karsay,NYY

I'm leaning towards Eyre or maybe Karsay if he comes back soon....

Agreed.

Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey

Ricardo Rincon? his ERA is over 6.00 and he just came back from 2 weeks off due to back trouble...why would you add him over the other guys? maybe you were thinking of Juan Rincon(who i already have)? also, what about Kent Mercker? he's available too....

Out of that list.I like Erye the best...Martin will give you good K's...but will not help much in WHIP....and Hammond will hurt your ERA....Ricon, I would give a little bit to see what he will do now that he is back...and Shuey and Karsay haven't pitched yet...but if I was going to take one of them it would be Karsay... :-)
