Prospect Hot Sheet

Postby Amazinz » Fri Jun 11, 2004 3:44 pm

Just an interesting note in case you missed it, three Mets made Baseball America's Prospect Hot Sheet: David Wright, Lastings Milledge and Justin Huber. Nice to see Huber getting hot and back on the radar.

Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey

To be honest with you, I've never even heard of Huber, but Wright is definately their hottest prospect. They're expecting great things of him. That's why they've been reluctant in trading him for some help this year. He's got the potential to be the next Chipper Jones....

I hope Milledge can become a star. It was nice to finally take care of the historic hot corner woes. Now if the Mets can just produce an OFer and get that monkey off their back.
