To those who thinkg Biggio might not make the hall of fame: get a clue. He's a lock. Its not even debateable. Don't sleep on him. Please. Robby Alomar will make it too, but he's mean, so I hope he doesn't.

Alomar will be the biggest hurdle for Biggio to make it, I don't think there will be enough votes for both to make it in off the BBWA ballot. If both were to retire at the end of this year it would come down to what is more important to the voters, a better career or a better peak. Alomar will get the edge with the glove and all-star games while Biggio will get an edge in character and playing for one team his entire career (plus Biggio will have the overall better numbers).

I would take either of them over Sandberg who will most likely get in next year.

First off, Ryne Sandberg didn't make the HOF...yet. He'll get in eventually. Boone, Soriano, Vizquel and Kent I'd say won't make it in. Jeter and Tejada are borderline.

Steve Sax was on the ballot in 2000. That was the first and last time he was. He received only two votes.

you guys missed my point
those are middle infeilders who should get in before biggio who played 2b most of his career. im guessing you guys think biggio will make it because he was one of the better hitting middle infeilders.

Ignoring the differences between SS and 2B, I'm not sure why you think those players should get in ahead of Biggio. The only ones who have had the same quality of career as Biggio would probably be Larkin, Alomar, and A-Rod. Sax and Visquel's careers were not in the same class as Biggio. Tejada, Nomar, Soriano, Boone still have a long way to go, a couple good years doesn't put you in the Hall. Jeter may be the most over-rated player of our generation.

If Kent continues to produce with the type of power he showed in SF then he can make a case of being a better player than Biggio or Alomar. Right now he just doesn't match up.

nomar, kent boone have acomplished more in there short careers than biggio did his whole career. visquel should get in for his feilding alone. if ozzies in then why not put vizzy in. just another case of latin american ballplayers not getting the respect they deserve

Just a quick question, bigshot:

Did you READ any of our arguments for Biggio's HoF proposal, or did you just decide to rant on about why he shouldn't? If you read them, can you tell me why I'm wrong? I'd love to hear it.

That list means nothing. One, you need 10 years in to be eligible. Second, you are comparing ss to 2b. Third, so what if some day someone has better credentials. I showed a good case why Biggio warrants a very good look. Whether the writers vote him is another matter.
