Don't forget, that for MVP on PS2, there are some major flaws. One is the lefty thing(lefties can't hit a ball over 420ft), and the other is the franchise mode. If your looking to play just this season, and maybe next, then you'll be fine, but if you try to play 3-4 seasons, your players won't progress much. And, if you decide to play even more seasons, you'll end up with a league full of guys who are rated around 70.

That is true, but you can always go in and edit players if you want later. 420 ft is plenty to get out of most parks, but I see your point, long fly balls with lefties could be HR with the same swing by a right handed player. I don't plan on playing more than 5-6 years of a dynasty with any one team anyway since I like to play all the games in the majors myself, and would rather play with the current players than made up players, but that's just me. I don't want to say anything bad about the other games since I haven't really played them much, but MVP is great as far as gameplay, graphics, and overall realism to me. ;-D

MVP is easily the best baseball game available. There are some minor problems though -- CPU makes too many diving catches, User OFs too slow -- but these can be corrected by adjusting the sliders. Below is a link to a site that shows the perfect sliders for MVP. I tried them and the game is even more realistic.

Great link. Thanks. I've been trying to find the right combo and according to this site I was way off. :-D Fixed the link for those too lazy to copy and paste. Heh.

Anyone know if these problems exist on the XBOX also?

I heard ESPN Baseball for the ps2 also has some issues. The biggest one being that the first person mode is a nightmare.

It is, but who would play in first person anyways? Stupid idea from ESPN IMO. The best thing about ESPN IMO, is the realistic stats. I'm just about in my season where we are in the real season, and all the stats are almost perfect. Except Bonds is hitting .243 with a .420 OBP 8-o .

I just bought ESPN and it's addicting.

First time I played it, the opposing pitcher had a no-no through 7. Turned it off, re-learned and now my guys are unstoppable. However, I need to up the difficulty. Through 8 or so games, Nomah is batting over .550 with around 18HR and 25RBI (yeah, I can't get guys on base in front of him...i always get caught stealing).
