I don't mean a video game with a franchise mode, I mean a game where you take over a sports franchise and act as an owner/GM. Some possible features might be having to manage your money/budget, keep up attendence, build new stadiums, etc...

If this game exists then it would be awesome. Unfortunately I've never seen something like this. :,-(

best text sim franchise game ever: http://www.ootpdevelopments.com (OOTP6) I own and love it. great game, and makes baseball mogul look like fisher price game for kindergardeners.

Best simulated baseball game, that combines great simulated gameplay with good commentary and great graphical interface this year is bar-none ESPN MLB 2004.

u mean like a baseball equivelent of Madden? Yikes, hmmm. There's no game like that, that I've heard of. I guess your best bet would be a game with a deep franchise mode.

Yes, OOTP6 is an amazingly addictive and fun game. You manage your team(s) in every possible way, from setting lineups to setting ticket prices. It's well worth the money IMO.

Ok I have both MVP Baseball 2004 & the newest version of ESPN Baseball.

Last year I owned both versions as well, and I preferred ESPN version I played a complte season with the A's, meaning I played 162 games + all exhibition games against whoever.

True story, as I was entering the playoffs and after I had won the AL West and set many records (zito was like 30-1, 2.10 ERA, btw, I didn't play on easy, I play on the Legendary mode. Anyways as I started game 1 of the playoffs, in the third inning the game froze, I had to restart and when I did to my horror my ENTIRE saved season, all my work all 162 games probably equaling over 200 ours of time WAS GONE AND LOST AND DELETED. Needless to say I could never find the strength to ever play or put that game back into my xbox eever again.

anyways sorry, I felt the need to rant.

This year as I said I have both games. I can say with out a doubt, MVP Baseball 2004 is the single GREATEST Baseball game I HAVE EVER PLAYED. IT will take you a while to learn the game and the learning curve is steep, Im addicted to this game and according to my EA Bio I have played over 4 days worth of this game and I am only playing on All Star Mode (the #3 dificrulty of 4 and I find myself in many many low scoring games, even getting shut out).

Needless to say the gamepl;ay is smooth, hitting is so realistic it took me so long to learn playe dicipline and improve, the pitching is incredible as you have control of location, speed, velocity everything. The CPU makes realistic moves, like PH, and putting in a Left handed specialist whenever I have chavez come up to bat in the late innings with men on in a tight game. Fielding is second to none, you have complete control as far as how hard you want to throw the ball, the harder yout throw the greater risk for error. When you steal bags, you can choose how to slide, head first, feet first and wut side of the bag to go for to avoid the tag. I dont play ESPN that much, it does not even COME CLOSE to MVP

simply put, if you enjoy video games, or like baseball games

GET MVP BASEBALL NOW!!!!

GO NOW!

and if you play online like I do for the PS2, I would love to play you so send me your screen name for online PS2.

Again if you don't already have this game, why are you still reading this? Go to your closest game seller and BUY MVP!

This is the part of the game I like. The graphics could be as bad as Sega's World Series Baseball circa 1993 for all I care. I love managing baseball teamsI think I'll have to look into buying OOTP :-?

I've owned 3 of these types of games (OOTP5, Baseball Mogul 2004, and Season Ticket Baseball 2003) And I have to say, despite the non-MLB rosters, STB2003 is my favorite. OOTP is a great game, though, they're almost identical.

Sorry to hear bout the lost season, that really does suck. :-t I went out yesterday and bought MVP and well, have to say I don't know what I was waiting for. It is the BEST sports game I have ever played hands down. ;-D It's so realistic in every way IMO. It does take a while to get the hang of it, especially on the harder levels, but it is very much worth the effort. Gotta give it ;-D ;-D

I have Gamecube and noticed a smaller variety of baseball games to pick from than the other systems. Is MVP made for the Gamecube?
