Will Abreu Continue To Hit With This Much Power?

Will Bobby Abreu continue to hit with power for the rest of the season or is he going to taper off? I think this has been observed elsewhere on the forums, but it looks like his speed has declined and power has increased. Anyone have projections for the rest of the season?

it might continue. from what i've read, the ball really flies out of the new ballpark in philly. good for abreu bad for phillie pitchers

It'll taper off. He's usually a June person I believe. and August.

Abreu has always been a 30/30 threat, expect him to keep playing the way he has been.

eh, pencil the guy in for 30/30 this year.

in my first year of fantasy baseballin' (2001) i saw a stat for that season that he was the player who was on the most ESPN fantasy baseball championship teams. usually he's more geared to steals than power, but hey, take it and run with it this year, cuz he looks to be having a career-type-year.

i doubt he'll hit 45 HRs, but 30 is a safe guess.

* Keep in mind that Abreu lost a Javy Lopez-like amount of weight in the off-season and went on to get into great shape.

* Bowa also said that he was going to have guys run more often.

* And as long as Thome stays hot, Abreu is going to see a lot of good pitches.

At the rate he's going I was figuring 40 homers, but I may have been over estimating. And no...I'm not a Abreu owner, I was going to try and trade for him though since power is a bigger plus in my league than speed is.
