I am about to finish second in my Fantasy Hockey leauge because of horrendous goal tending. Offense is rediculous but the goal tending killed me. Obviously the disparity in offense and goal tending is greater because the limited amount of goalies as opposed to many good starters. What do you think is the most impoprtant aspect of Fantasy Baseball?

There are some key positions in fantasy baseball, like 2B isn't very deep or catcher, depending on the number of teams and starters at those positions.

You can also be in trouble if you miss out on a first or second tier SS.

In roto leagues you can be lost in a category (which is 10%!) easily by missing out on good closers.

Quality Question.

Most players over look two very important Stat's. Maybe overlooking is too harsh a word because we use these stat's as categories. Most players when looking at stat's first look at HR's then maybe RBI's or Avg. Then we go and check his speed and run's. With pitcher's it is Win's, followed by ERA or Stikeout's. But the two most important Stat's are OBP and WHIP. IMO

I take in everbody's opinion and then form my own. I also like going to the local fishwrap's and studying a player there before I form my own. The local fishwrap will usually give you all the dirt on a player.

Don't value closers too high. I traded Smoltz for all out across the board stud Jason Giambi. Trade closers early for top hitters or starters. Closer options will surface later on easily.
