Didn't see a post, but looks like DaVanon won't be totally inactive when Anderson returns. ;-D

He's heading for the 15-DL with a slightly torn quad. (Sportsline)

Bad news for any of you who like or own Mondesi:

According to this MLB.com article, he is out for the year.

However, I would expect that he will be back in 2 to 3 weeks, this time signing with the Red Sox. ;-7

Ouch!

Torn quad = 6 mo. healing time

I'd rather (partial or hairline) fracture my femur. Quicker healing time

I'm thinking this a maneuver to become a free agent and sign with the Astros. Never trust Mondesi.

Is Koch definitely out as closer? I'm thinking of dropping Koch for DaVanon.

You're probably not gonna get a whole lot outta DaVanon unless one of the 3 OF's get hurt (Guillen/Anderson/Vlad). Salmon won't only face lefties (whom DaVanon never faces).

Angels also play @ all NL parks next week -- no DH -- and most likely no DaVanon (and definitely no Salmon).
