getting rocked tonight, didnt have a great outing last time - consensus is that after TJ surgery pitchers need at least a year to get back, i thought he might be the exception but apparently not - i know it's only 2 starts but...
is he worth hanging onto and weathering the storm or is it a better idea to pick up a guy like ted lilly or brett myers or brandon webb?
I think if Webb is a FA I'd rather gamble on him than Burnett.
Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey
Webb is having a horrible year, I would look else where before I just jumped on him...fantasy baseball standings is based on statistics, not hype. I am never big on a guy coming off a big injury, especially surgery, and super especially a pitcher. I alwways think that just because they are back from the DL, that doesnt mean that they are back to their old self. It always seems to take a while, look at other Tommy John examples...

If you want someone whose arm is on fire is Lilly. Hase sub 4 era, 4 wins, and almost a k per inning in last 5 starts. I don't want to give up on Burnett....grabbed him for the end of the summer...and playoffs. Liily could help you fill some starts though
I wouldn't be banking on him at all. It's possible that he does well toward the end of the year, but I wouldn't count on it.
Webb should not be availiable. Pick him up.
