I heard originally that Edgardo Alfonzo would be playing some 2B this year, with the move of Durham to the OF. Is he still going to play 2B this year? I think he has played 3B in the games so far. I would love that 2B eligibility with him...On that topic...who else will be gaining eligibility for other positions soon? Thanks.
aubrey huff should gain eligibility at 3rd this year as he's played there or the first 3 games. He has to play 15 games at the position in order to gain eligibility at Yahoo!

Desi Relaford may be eligibile at every position except 1B, C, and P. Not that he's worth a whole lot at any position, but he could be a decent bench player if Feebles struggles and he starts at 2B every day.
With the Giants' outfield acquisitions (Jose Cruz, Jr., Marquis Grissom), Durham won't be playing much outfield, so Alfonzo is stuck at third base. I wouldn't count on his getting second base eligibility.
On the other hand, Aaron Boone is getting regular playing time at second. He presently qualifies at 3B and SS, and within another two weeks he will also qualify at 2B!
Originally the Giants thought of playing Durham in CF and moving Alfonso to 2b but then SF signed Cruz and once Grissom was signed Alfonso became a full-time 3rd baseman. Neifi Perez is Durham's backup at 2b so I don't see Alfonso playing many games at 2b.

thats too bad...I was expecting some 2B eligibilty from him...oh well.
What about Jason Kendall? Didnt he play OF for a while last year? I assume he wont play any this year with Lofton, Giles, and Sanders in the OF already. In the ESPN league, you only need 3 games at a new position to qualify there, so who else will be eligable at a new position soon, and who might get three games at a position they might not usually play?
