Guillen is said to be fed up w/ Koch

and the speculation is that Takatsu will get the first shot at closing for the White Sox

He's got decent numbers and can help to lower ratios. Some people, if you've got the bench space, like to beat everyone if he's named closer

I picked him up. He has got a closer mentality and is throwing great. I think it is just a matter of time before he gets the complete closers job in Chicago. Guillen is losing faith in Koch just about every time out nowadays. I think Takatsu is a good investment just like Cordero was. Hopefully they can both pay off in the long run.

what's his relative worth?
on a couple teams i've got herges and valverde.. haven't been to happy about their ratios so i was considering either takatsu or cordero over them. should they be considered that high or are they still at the bottom of closerdom since they're just getting the job?[/quote]

Well, lets see if Guillen gives him a shot. He can't be much worse than Koch!

I am not sure why they are easing him into pressure situations. The man is the all time leader in saves in Japan and has pitched something like 10 championship games without an earned run. Seems like they should just throw him in there.
