Any news? Just when this guy started tearing the ball off the cover!
I hope he doesn't hit the DL!!!
The WW is not offering much for relief, what do you guys think?
From Yahoo! Sports:
Manager Joe Torre said he kept Jeter on the bench as a precaution.
``He's fine,'' Torre said through a spokesman. ``Just for my own comfort, I want to give it one more day. I'm 95 percent sure he'll play (Wednesday).''
Jeter took part in all the regular pregame drills and said he felt no discomfort. He's hitting .233 with seven homers.
From me:
For the record, thats not a bad waiver wire at all, depending on how many teams you have. If you want to grab a backup, go with Lugo, who is somewhat of a poor man's Jeter, Valentin if you need homeruns and can stomach the average, or even Clayton when he's in Coors. Shoot, Cabrera should come around too.
Does anyone know a reliable source for starting lineups for a given day, especially shortly before gametime when Jeter (or whoever) should know if they're well enough to play. Or when a team decides to give a catcher the day off? I hate checking the box scores partway through the game only to realize one of my players isn't in the game.

Not much for relief? In mst of my leagues Lugo, Valentin, Cabrera, Cintron, Everett, and Aurilia are gone. I'd say you have good options if Jeter can't play for a while.
"Jack, will you call me, if you're able?"
"I've got your phone number written, in the back of my Bible."
