How Prior or Schmidt went after Clemens I don't know...Clemens is 41, he'll fall apart by midseason.

#1 Arod...fine
#2 Pujols...fine
#3 Vlad...a bit too early. Teams will begin pitching him inside and figure him out a bit.
#4 Beltran...okay...notorious 2nd half player
#5 Soriano...don't get that sort of power/speed at 2B often
#6 Bonds...half a round or more too early...overrated due to the HR thing.
#7 Gagne...I tend to go quantity over quality in H2H leagues in terms of closers, since it's so easy to get the ERA down with starters. So this is a bit early.
#8 Clemens...wayyyyyyyyyyy too early. a few rounds too early (I'd say sixth is good...he won't continue this pace). Overrated...he's going to slow down very soon. I'm not a Clemens fan at all.
#9 Prior (me! )...great pick. He's back and ready to be the #1 fantasy SP for the rest of the year.
#10 Helton...solid value pick at 10.
#11 Schmidt....too early (by a couple of rounds). Arm will fall off soon. Where the hell are Pedro or RJ?
#12 Manny...another solid pick. Can't argue with Manny's consistency.

vlad's been pitched inside his whole career and this season has been no different. if anything, anderson's impending return can only help him.

Think Gagne went too high...I NEVER would take a closer so high. I'm as amazed by Clemens as most everyone else, and it's easy to say he shouldn't have gone so high. But he just keeps dominating, so how do I argue against him?

One argument with Warrick's analysis, regarding Guerrero. HUH? "pitchers are going to start figuring him out..." are you kidding? The guy's a .325 lifetime hitter and is the best bad ball hitter in the game. There never has been a book on him, as Vlad can hit pitches in his eyes or off the dirt. You can mark him down for .340 with 40 HR, 130 RBI, that will happen.

My thoughts exactly except for Vlad, who is a good #3 pick, and Schmidt, who has shown he is about as good as Prior. On the way back in the second round I got Rolen, who everybody seemed to forget about. I then got Oswalt as my second pitcher. Not bad :-D

5x5 H2H midseason league.

1-5 is pretty much expected, the order is always up for debate but with Helton's injury problems they are all pretty much givens. I've made my feelings about first round pitchers known so no need to go in depth. I think the guy sitting at #12 should be smiling a happy smile with the way 6-11 went.
