These super rookies have not proved anything. I have Fonz at 3b
with Randa as a backup. The rest of my if is as strong as garlic-
Posada, Helton, Kent and Renteria. Should I drop a proven(if boring)
vet like Randa for an unknown like Teix ?

if your backups are that good sure why not ,you must have a all star lineup. So the risk on a up & comer like Tex won't hurt you either way.

If you're worried about picking up Tex as a backup and you're dumping Randa, don't worry. Randa is nothing special and even if Tex is a bust and Alfonzo gets hurt, you'll be able to get someone just as good or better than Randa off waivers.
