Well, we all know about Humber, but from there:

Matthew Durkin, rhp, San Jose St.
Gabriel Hernandez, rhp, Belen Jesuit Prep, Homestead, Fla.
Aaron Hathaway, c-rhp, Washington
Nicholas Evans, 3b, St. Mary's HS, Phoenix, Ariz.
Ryan Coultas, ss, California
Scott Hyde, rhp, George Fox
Neil Jamison, rhp, California St.
Christopher Carp, 1b, Lakewood HS, Cerritos, Calif.
Brahiam Maldonado, rf, St. Francis School, Loiza, P.R

6 of our first 8 picks were right-handed pitchers. Weird.

I guess they're trying to load up on pitching and follow a similar scheme to that of the Atlanta Braves, who've allways relied on pitching...This years staff, aside from Glavine and Leiter is pretty pathetic IMO...They've tried:

Seo -----> Terrible = didn't work!
Ginter ----> hasn't really worked very well either
Wheeler ----> Had a spot start against Atlanta in the second game of the season. Was ok, but not good either.
Trachsel ----> Has been ok, but kinda streaky at times. Especially vs. the Yankees

If they can find some decent pitching talents, it will help them a lot. I wonder how Aaron Heilman is gonna work out. Wasn't he their top draft pick last year or 2002???

yea good strategy i think for the mets..load up their minors with solid pitchers for the future...as i think that is their main need now----solid pitching...... i will have to keep my eyes on these guys for this year and see how they do....
