What happens to Mondesí when Anderson comes back?

Postby jebatzel » Mon Jun 07, 2004 11:43 pm

I know is is playing full time now, but after Anderson is back will he continue to start?

Sounds like he could be back this weekend against the Cubs.

Garret Anderson Latest News Jun. 7, 2004 - 8:33 am et

The Angels now believe that Garret Anderson could return as their DH for this weekend's games against the Cubs.
He has looked like the Anderson of old in recent workouts, and barring any setbacks in his short rehabilitation assignment starting tonight, will likely be batting fourth for Anaheim in Friday night's game. With Tim Salmon also ready to return to action, at bats for Raul Mondesi and Jeff DaVanon may be limited in the very near future.

Mondesi will quit again, and sign with someone else.

J/K. Lol. :-D

I'm sure he will see a decrease in playing time. How much is just dependant on how everyone is performing. ;-)

Well, most likely he'll throw a fit, make up some lame excuse not to play anymore, leave the team, then sign with another team.

Oh wait... ;-)

I think he'll get some time still, but probably won't be starting. I don't know how he'll take that.

Ha :-b .

I'm sure he talked about this situation with the Angel's management when he signed. I cannot picture him playing fewer than three games a week from here on out. He could surpass Salmon on the DH depth chart with an extended hot streak.

Great minds think alike! ;-D

Although, perhaps if Selig grows a pair, he'll do the right thing:

for some reason I had thought he would have been better pickup.

maybe I should just wait and see what happens.

I did the same thing - check to see if N.Johnson is available. He's an OBP machine, and has had a good effect on the 'spos

its a 5x5 scoring league

Have Derrek Lee and Tex for 1bs

Angels being able to DH someone should help too.

Anderson could hit DH, wouldn't that make sense to since he is recovering from back injury?
