I was just searching round the WW in one of my pay leagues trying to find a replacement for Ensberg. ( i have waited way to long i know) and found Hinske, i know he hasn't done real great, but it should be an imporvement nontheless.
Any reason not to do this?

yes and plenty of them. i actualy traded for him at the begining of the year with high hopes. only to be crushed. dropped him awhile back. the strikes out al the time. is very inconsisitent and has not produced. i see where you are coming from but honestly i htink he will hurt you more than you think. trade for someone or pick up graffino (sp) . he is hitting leadoff for KC right now and is hot. plays 2B 3B and SS eligible.
People ask me what I do in winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring. Rogers Hornsby

i completely agree - i have no idea how this guy pulled off those rookie year stats - but in the past year and almost 1/3 this year - he has shown few signs of returning to that form - he might be an upgrade over the platooning you are getting from morgan right now but i bet there are other 3B out there who would help more

biggest problem with Hinske is that he sucks.

LOL!! I tried believing in him last season and drafted in a keeper league but the only thing I got to keep was the pain....

I don't like how he holds the bat in the middle of his body in his setup. I think he needs to extend his arms more.

Last 10 games = .300 avg/1 homerun/5 runs/7rbi/3 stolen bases
Only struck out 6 times
Not spectacular, but a step in the right direction. And not much else out there to replace him with. He could go on a power surge at anytime

Well, he just made up for about 2 weeks of no production today. Of course I benched him. I say he still turns out to be a top 10 third baseman with a mix of speed and power. Balls carry further in the summer and he's been heating up. Players are supposed to take it to the next level in their third season too.... He's only 30% owned in ESPN leagues
