K-Rod This Week?

Postby osb » Mon Jun 07, 2004 12:11 am

now that Percival's on the self do you all see this as Rodriguez' chance to stick his foot in the door? or do you all think the job is percivals once he's healthy?

would you take K-Rod over someone like Kolb this week? and how would you all rank him as far as the rest of the season should he prove himself worthy of sitting percival down?

He's worth owning regardless of his role, as his K/WHIP numbers are significant enough to have an impact, even in a relief role. If he's closing, his value skyrockets!

Whether or not he permanently takes the job is something only Mike Scioscia can answer. But I'd want KRod over Kolb this week or any other if they're both closing. No knock on Kolb, who's doing a great job. But KRod would be my choice.

K-Rod is a K machine and definately worth starting every week regardless of whether he's closing or not. When he is he just dominates one more category. Definately gets my nod over Kolb this week.

I don't however think K-Rod can take Percy's job permanantly due to injury. Scioscia is not that kind of manager. Percy has to play himself out of the role. Which he has been doing thus far so a change may be imminent. Just not due to injury. Percy gets the job back as soon as he's healthy.
