I would say Marte is probably next in line, but Takatsu has a shot too. I'm not even sure if they are going to use someone else than Koch yet.

Guessing game. Koch still has the gig, Takatsu has been the best of the three, Marte did a good job in the role last year. Manager has no track record to go by. Impossible to hazard a good opinion here, will have to wait and see what happens.

If they finally decide to demote Koch, it will be Takatsu, They will continue to use Marte in the setup role

Takatsu, unfortunately.

If Wunsch is called back up, it could be Marte.

Takatsu as a closer will be interesting. I think hitters will catch up to him very soon. He's deceptive and nasty, but his stuff just doesn't really cut it for a closer. I think the league will catch up to him next year, so that won't be a problem this year. Damn you Takatsu, damn you to hell...screwing up Damaso's chance to close. :-P

Well, I've been following the CWS closer situation for a while. I'm the brave one in the league who goes through the mess.

Last year I had the Gordon/Marte committee.

This year, I started off with Marte and Koch, then dropped Koch in favor of LaTroy Hawkins a few weeks ago (it's paid off now y'all!). I got Marte again with a high waiver priority in preseason and have been waiting ever since. Takatsu got mashed in spring training, so I thought I would finally be getting some Marte saves. Guess not.

On top of that, Damaso's my favorite MLB player, so I really can't let him go. :-t

It's not personal, Shingo, it's just that you're in the way. :-D CWS doesn't have a big Japanese "market" (fanbase may be a better word), anyway (Seattle, LA). I'm surprised that a team like them got him. I heard that he was the Japanese saves leader, but many teams stayed away due to his age. Rather interesting. Since Quantrill signed with the Yankees, I thought LA might give him a shot over Duaner Sanchez or whoever they signed.
