The Big Cat won his battle with cancer, and is now looking to come back to get his 400th HR. (he has 398) There's talk of the Rockies signing him.

Yes, the Rockies will very likely sign him in September, assuming they are out of contention. He's perhaps the most popular player in the franchise's history, so it's a nice P.R. gesture.
