Postby gojays7 » Sun Jun 06, 2004 9:08 pm

with those 3 anhm players comin back all within the next few weeks - what happens to my beloved mondesi when all 3 are healthy? is there any combination in the anhm lineup that can keep all players in there??? u already have vladdy and guillen, so now u have 6 players for 3 OF, 1 DH, and 1 1b??

Anderson in Center
Guillen and Vlad in the Corners
Mondesi at DH, will play in the field 2 or 3 times a week I would think (days off, or DH breaks for the 3 OFs)

Its possible the try him at first, but I would really doubt it...

Why wouldn't they let the arthritic Anderson DH and let the better defensive player - Mondesi - play center? I think that's what will happen.

that makes salmon a bench player when he comes back, doesn't it?
Give a man a fish and he'll eat for a day, teach a man to fish and he'll drown because you forgot to teach him to swim.

Yeah...I don't see Salmon taking PT from any of those guys.

The funny thing is, if he were in Montreal, he'd be their best hitter.

I tell ya the real shame here will be Jeff DaVanon...this guy deserves to play everyday (more than Mondesi, Salmon, Erstad). In 438 AB's between '02 and '03, he is hitting .299 with 15 HR's, 59 RBI's, and 22 SB's. Projected over 600 AB's - .299, 21 HR's, 81 RBI's, 30 SB's.

C'mon...he's hitting .352 for goodness sake. It'll be so sad to see those bums take his PT away. How can you take him out?

What will happen with Mondesi??

A whole lot of bitching from him when he's eventually platooning with DaVanon. Ranks with Shannon Stewart as the most head stratching signing.

Who knows what'll end up happening. Hopefully if/when he ends up complaining, they just waive his ass.

Message was paid for by the family and friends of Raul Mondesi. Like the majority of his past teammates, they don't want anything to do with him either. ;-D
