martinez has more hrs and rbi than estrada...i just think he'll have the better year - estrada doesnt have that much power and i doubt that he'll keep up his torrid avg with RISP

Bah, I done went and got folks confused. I was responding to the orginal poster, who said he would take Mauer. Mauer should def. not be ahead of Martinez and Estrada. And as far as Martinez and Estrada go, I'd expect them to be about even, Martinez having the edge in HR and Estrada having the edge in AVG.

Yeah, I am preety sure he hasn't. I think I was jumping the gun after his HR today. I still like Estrada over V-Mart... just barely though.
How can you put Mauer ahead of a guy who is already putting up great numbers for 1/3 of the season? VMart is tearing it up now, and Mauer is only a prediction based on minor league success...this type of prediction does not always work out correctly. Yes, Mauer does have a shot to be the best out there, but if I could grab Martinez, I would, just to be safe.

thats how i'd rank em also... V-Mart hits fourth which is awesome for runs and ribbies.. also has the most power.. Estrada's ribbies so far have been a fluke... he should cool down somewhat and Mauer has NO power whatsoever for this year at least.
