Can anyone advise if Mazzilli will start Hairston Jr on a regular basis the next few weeks with interleague play commencing?

I picked him up last night and am assuming that he'll play when the Orioles are at home and if he plays at all, it will be sparingly when there is no DH ... but that's only a guess

He's actually warmed up pretty nice the past week, and Mazz had him penciled in for his first start in RF before Saturday's game got rained out. That day off earlier was just a basic rest day; Hairston should be set for playing time or DH duty, especially with Gibbons out.

I read that he was to start in RF yesterday, but then they got rained out. O's got some injury issues. I hope that they will find a way to keep him in the lineup.
BRILLIANT!

he was going to play RF yesterday and all signs point to mazzilli finding ways to keep hairston in the lineup, at the expense of surhoff, and possibly bigbie (LF). as long as you don't mind a guy who hits late in the order he should have value (mazzilli may shake it up and have him hit higher depending on matchups and off days for regulars like raffy).

yeah, well, he's been hitting 9th.
which is basically the same as hitting 1st,
especially with roberts/mora/tejada at the top of the order.
so his stats should basically be about the same, as if he were hitting in place of roberts.
