Yes, Steven Seagal is the same basic character in all his flicks. I actually met him twice.
First was in 92 here in Mobile when he was filming "Under Seige" here. This was also when I met Busey, Jones, & Eleniak. The guy was a JERK. Was incredibly rude in every restaurant he ate in, refused to tip, meet any kids visiting the set, just a massive prima donna. At the same time, his wife, Kelly Le Brock, was extremely nice to everyone about town. Weird huh?
I saw him again in 2002 in the lobby of the Century Plaza in Beverly Hills. He ignored everyone there......course, he looks like Brando now and no one really noticed him....probably because a real celeb like Paul McCartney was speaking in the ballroom. Now HIM, I wanted to meet!

I think you're right.
And the way he walks - like he has a 2x4 up his butt, he looks so stiff. He did get a taste of humble pie when he was blackmailed by the mafia - on the wire taps they were laughing about how terrifed he was of them, not a tough guy at all (not that I approve of that).
