Oh yeah, Kevin Coffey (Paul's cousin) was my tee-ball coach. He lives down the street from me too. And he drives a Corvette, which I'm sure was bought for him by Paul
I dont get it, youre saying im lying? Thats not cool man, you dont know me
I.... don't see where LBJ made the impression that he thought you were lying...
I don't, either.
Thats why im asking!! Why did he quoted my thread.. if not not cool, but i wanted to know

Just a guess, but I think you reminded him of his T-Ball coach by saying Mattie Alou was your coach. No other intentions I notice.

Yeah, sorry, I'm not saying you lied. It just reminded me of my t-ball coach. I doubt somebody would lie about something like that anway
(the "oh yeah" was meant in a way of "ahhhh, I just remembered". Not supposed to be one-upping you or anything. Because I'd rather have Mattie Alou as my coach After I re-read it it sounded funny, I guess I worded it wrong.)
"Jack, will you call me, if you're able?"
"I've got your phone number written, in the back of my Bible."

I worked in radio for years and met more bands than I can ever remember, but a few standouts were my boys The Bloodhound Gang (I made the liner notes on HOORAY FOR BOOBIES), Ted Nugent, Sugar Ray (if you ever meet Mark McGrath, ask him about oriental spas in Mobile), Red Hot Chili Peppers, Def Leppard, Smashmouth, Pharrell Williams, Run DMC, Britney Spears (she smelled sooo good), Matchbox 20, and 3 Doors Down. 3DD are from the area, so I've spent a bit of time with them.
Others with longer, stranger stories were:
I drank beer at a party in the suburbs with Bernie Mac. Possibly the coolest guy you'd ever meet. HUGE White Sox fan and good golfer.
I was on TV with Charles Barkley as we played basketball when I was in 7th grade. Very nice guy.
Used to go BBQs at "Hardcore" Bob Holly from WWFs' house. Met Mankind, Rakishi, and others through him.
Watched a coked up Gary Busey pick up a whore, chatted with Tommy Lee Jones, and got hugged by Erika Eleniak in the same night.
Appeared as an extra in a low budget film with Lacey Chabert.
Met Steven "Proud to be the World's Biggest Jerk" Seagal.
Played ball with Shaun Alexander, Chris Samuels, & Mark Harmon.
Met all the major leaguers from the University of South Alabama:
Luis Gonzalez
Mike Mordecai
Juan Pierre
Jon Leiber
Marlon Anderson
A lot of guys who played AA ball in Mobile in the last few years:
Sean Burroughs
Khlil Greene
Adam Dunn
Mark Prior
Jake Peavy
Oliver Perez
Those were the things that made being in radio so great. The money blows, the hours are a LOT longer than you would imagine, the mangement ignorant, BUT....I got to do all these things and more. Very cool memories (and a bitchin' scrapbook) to last a lifetime.
