Missed the name, the announcers were looking for the record. But the record they found for k's says in a 9 inning game. So someone could of had more in an extra innings game, but the announcers say that record isn't in the book.
Most is 5 in a 9 inning game,
Most ever in an extra innings game is 6, done in th AL by Cecil Cooper in 1974, Billy Cowan in 1971, Alex Gonzalez in 1998, Sam Horn in 1991, Rick Reichardt in 1966, Carl Weilman in 1913, and only once in the NL by Don Hoak in 1956.
Some of the Brewers team stats are just mind boggling:
They hit .155 with 26 strikeouts, 25 men left on base and commited 3 errors...yet they beat an Angels team that hits .073
To be honest, I think Jenkins was juicing in the past and recently stopped. He looks really small this year and it's showing in his lousy power numbers.
does anyone else second this opinion
Nope not even close. He looks exactly the same size he's always looked, he's never been a big guy. He is hitting the ball very hard at times this year, just mostly foul. His problems are mental, not physical. He is swinging at every high fastball thrown at him and be fooled by offspeed stuff consistantly. He's hitting around .290 with RISP so his RBI totals aren't horrible considering his production. His HR per AB from last year were pretty much identical to his career totals, he just happened to get injured during a hot streak so his avg was higher than normal. I can't tell you if he'll heat up or not, but I find it very unlikely he was juiced last year.
