PAWSOX DUMP MUD HENS
June 5, 2004
Frank Castillo pitched seven and two thirds innings to lead the PawSox past Toledo 7-2. Castillo (4-2) scattered eight hits, striking out four. Nomar Garciaparra, in his final rehab appearance with the Sox nailed a home run and a two run double. Adam Hyzdu added a solo homer, his twelfth. Earl Snyder, Henri Stanley and Jeremy Owens had two hits apiece. The PawSox cashed in on four Mud Hen errors. Five of the runs were unearned. The PawSox are 28-28 and have a chance at a .500 road trip with a win on Sunday. John Stephens (3-4) will battle Jimmy Haynes (0-0). Game time is 2:00

I would think this performance would insure a Tuesday return ;-D

It will be nice to see him both in a Sox uniform and on my fantasy team's active roster :-D

I would think it will take him some time to get that confidence in his achilles but after a week or two, Yes I think he will be business as usual.

The interesting part of the article to me was where it said "In his final rehab appearance"!I kind of figured he would be back Tuesday regardless of them not saying for sure.And I think this confirms it!

I hope he is. The slop I've been using to fill in the SS position has just been killing me. :-/

I got lucky...I had Womack when he was stealing bases early in the year, and I got Clayton off the WW a couple weeks ago, who has been on fire lately. But man, it will be nice to have my 2nd round pick in my lineup....it will be nice to see that high avg. and truckload of rbi's and runs again O:-)

I'd been using Jack Wilson, so I really haven't been too unhappy. I will be glad to get Nomar back though. :-)

ya, ever since last week the plan was basically to try to get him to the big club on Tuesday, the start of a home stand against San Diego

It's good to see that there were no setbacks and he is still on pace to return by then.
