Well, I'm not sure that this is a real "emergency," to be fair. Laying it down, I would take it, assuming that you think that Jeter will be back this season some time. I'm not sold on rj's 3 week diagnosis, but I think that he'll be back in a few months. I'd do it.

Posada had a career high 99 rbis last year. He also had his 2nd best ops in the last 5 years. In the last 3 years hes only had $1 worth of difference in all 3 years.

I would never make the trade if i was given a short exact timeline.

Probably too late to offer a sane opinion on this one, but here it goes anyway. I'm going against the grain on this one to tell you to not pass go and accept the trade in a hurry. Posada is the 2nd best catcher in Fantasy ( a very deep position btw - sarcasm ) and Berkman is a top 5 outfielder. Pick up Eckstein or some other stop gap solution if you think Jeter won't be back but if he is you are Golden!
