red sox fan, you deserve no more. So far, Varitek is 3rd, Millar is 3rd (undeserved), Pokey Reese is 2nd in voting (undeserved), Nomar is 1st (really undeserved), Bill Mueller 2nd (undeserved), and Damon is the 3rd OF (undeserved). Though Ortiz has been good and would be a legitimate vote, almost all the red sox players are not. I could say the same about the yankees, but i wont go into detail.

So because people vote for Red Sox players they want to see that probably don't deserve to be there a very deserving player shouldn't even be on the ballot? He finished 5th in MVP voting last year and has 11 home runs and 44 rbis so far this year and isn't even on the ballot. That's a crime. Say what you want about Mike Young and Nomar ( i agree Young should start ) but the fact is that the people like Nomar and they want to see him. David Ortiz shouldn't get screwed just because Red Sox nation actually votes for this thing.

If they want to see him, then they should go to Fenway after he gets off the DL and plays his FIRST major league game of the year!!!! But voting for him to start in the All Star game is a travesty, as well as a spit in the face to all the players who have put up great stats so far this year but might not have the most recognizable name. Likewise, it will be a travesty if Jeter goes to the All Star game, but Torre will probably bring him anyway.
Tejada and Michael Young should be the two AL shortstops, while Nomar and Jeter watch it from home.
