Lowell gets no love! He's probably the best true 3B in baseball (A-Rod is a SS, but playing 3B because Jeter is stubborn), but nobody respects that. Why Chavez was taken before Lowell in mostly all pre-season drafts boggles the mind.

Nope, didn't forget about Rolen. Check out the stats, Lowell has been better over the past 2 years in about 30 less games.

I should clarify, I'm talking about offense AND defense. Lowells a good defensive 3B but Rolen is probably the best of all time. Fantasy perspective your right, I was thinking real life value.

I've looked into this as well....Lowell is just about as good defensively as Rolen is. I'd say they're close to even based on range factors and fielding percentage. A lot of players are labelled great defensively because they make routine plays look spectacular. Rolen is one of those guys.
