lets rank some sleeper 2B:

Scott Hairston
Jerry Hairston, Jr.
Vidro (sleeper cause he's struggled so much)
Utley
Polanco (sleeper cause he's struggled and been on the DL)
any others you can think of

How do they rank? Here's my rankings:

Scott (more power)
Jerry (more speed)
Vidro
Utley
Polanco

Vidro is the best out of that bunch, IMO.

one of my questions is whether you think Vidro can pull it together. I dont think he really can, so thats why I rated him below the others.

Anybody else?

1. Will Vidro is first by far as he is the only one out of this group that is guarenteed to start every game from hear on out

Now from here on out the rest are gambles with a lot of what if's

I would take Scott first here as I like to gamble - he could easily be the next Kent - not this year - but could easily this year hit 20 homers! Arizona is dead in the water and this guy is more their future then Webb even, so you can bet they will find a spot

Utely vs Polanco - I give the edge to Polanco as he won;t be sent down, Utely could

Jerry - not a huge fan, however having any Oriole on your team right now (minus pitching) is sweet as they are cruising, he is the safest out of this list (non-Vidro list that is) don;t expect much though

1. Vidro - no question
2. Scott - based on potential
3. Jerry - not sure what to say
4. Polanco - OK
5. Utely - above averge upside but lots of issues

Anybody want to throw out some projections for the Hairston brothers?

I don't know enough for projections, but Scott Hairston is more of a power hitter than his older brother. I like him a lot and I'm surprised he doesn't get more "dap" here at the cafe. He's batting leadoff too, so he should score his share of runs. As long as he gets his 15 games in at 2B before Alomar comes off the DL, so he has eligibility for next season, I'll be happy. Jerry Jr should get more SB's, but hit for a worse average. He'll also get regular playing time, despite Brian Roberts, which can't be said for Scott when Robbie comes off the DL.

Long-term: definately Scott. This season: Jerry Jr.

so if you were looking for a replacement for Vidro until he heats up, who would you go with? I have Utley now, but he's been slumping a bit lately.

I'd go with Jerry I guess. Utley won't be getting much playing time whether he slumps or not, so I'd go for somebody else.
