You guys think Chipper is going to return to last year's form once he returns?

Funny i was joking about how i would love to have this happen.... as i am full at DH and very light at 1B with Overbay and had nowhere for a struggling chipper, get better and get some 1b going

I see he's never played there before

Is Francroher (sp) ready maybe? Wise isn;t hitting to bad though.

Not as good as last year IMO. But still a very valuable player.

1B... Considering Sweeney is my only other 1B eligible player, this is excellent (Sweeney's health is always a concern).

Not as good, in his AB's it seems like he is nervous which is weird for him... I think once he gets in the swing of things he will hit more homers then normal, however a lower average.... once the lineup is 100% which is a reach iwth Furcal/Giles/Drew/Chip/Andruw all huge risks - it's going to be explosive

If Derosa continues to play poorly I wouldn't be suprised to see Chipper at 3rd b4 the end of the year as well.

As I've said before, I think its highly unlikely the Braves move him back to third. His defense isn't what it once was and with his recent string of injuries, the strain of playing the hot corner is an unnecessary risk for the Braves to take.

This is huge for me. I have been desparate for a 1B all season and was recently considering trading Beltran for someone like Helton. Now I get to keep both Beltran and Chipper!
