Sacramenro Riverbats...they good??? WHat does that mean, I've read articles and scouting reports bout the Duke and they say he has a tendency to breakdown and he quckly loses velocity on his fastball.

so the fact that The Duke was the Cy Young winner in AAA PCL league last year means nothing to you?

Wouldn't it make sense for the A's to trade one of their Big 3 (Zito probably), in order to get a big name guy? They have the pitching talent to replace Zito, so why not? As long as they get good value for him, it can only help them in the long run.

Not really. Let me just say this, Rick Ankiel and Todd Van Poppel (although he's doing pretty good this year) had by far better number than just about anybody ever in the minors. Ankiel was completely dominating!!! The 2nd coming of Cy Young, etc. Where is he now??? Until you succeed on a constant basis in the major leagues...that stuff dosen't really matter, so you can gauge a player by what you see in the minors, but with reserve of course.

Oh, and I was wrong about Duke, he rarely gets it over 90 of at all. I think I got Frasor and Duke's scouting report mixed up, my bad. But I still think Duke can succeed closing in that pitcher friendly park.
