Vertigo is just the symptom from the inner-ear infection. First time I saw this was a friend who was stumbling off his walls like a drunken sailor, but without a drop in him. Usually accompanied by some nausea, almost like seasickness. And it doesn't go away overnight.
A nasty bit of business, all in all.

Philadelphia Flyers' goalie had vertigo last season I think. I forget his name. He retired. He couldn't shake it quickly.

Vertigo sounds like a wimp's illness, but my mom had it a couple weeks ago, and she was fallin all over and puking about 5-10 times a day. It was just an inner ear infection, though. Sheets will be fine in no time..

I think you're talking about Mike Richter of the Rangers.

I know it was a Flyers goalie. I just googled it and it was Jeff Hackett. I believe it was last year. Did Richter have it too?

If severe, it can be pretty scary stuff. Had it for about 4 weeks once. Came out of the blue and went away just as suddenly. Docs initially said it could last from days to months. The professionals were stumped for a diagnosis as well as treatment (none).

Mine was never diagnosed as viral, however, so hopefully Sheets will get antibiotics and be over it quickly.
Blessed are the cheesemakers.

Viral? That can't be good. Last time I checked, antibiotics can only be prescribed for bacteria.

Hope it goes down soon.
Yes, I was, uh... I was thinking about ordering the tape, the videotape... about the college girls and the... the wild... the wildness. They're going wild or something? Somebody told me... about going wild.

No, Richter had post-concussion syndrome. Thats why he retired

Oh....I knew there was some reason he retired early.

And if it's viral, you can't take antibiotics. You can't "kill" a virus since technically it isn't even alive. At least that's about all I remember from HS biology. But it could be gone in no time......then again, if it's bad, it could stick around for a while.
