Not bad for a first start since last season. then again, it was against the braves. regardless, how did he look out there on the mound today? was he missing the zone? did he good command of his pitches? etc?
Looked like he was going to struggle out of the gates in the first but settled down and had a nice outing. I thought he looked pretty good but, then again, all of the Expos pitchers look good and get no run support.

he looked good. the braves arn't exactly a stud lineup, but his pitches were down and had movement. As was pointed out above he struggled a tad at the start and he did run out of gas after about 5.1 innings. His pitches started to hang.
He should be fine.
Give a man a fish and he'll eat for a day, teach a man to fish and he'll drown because you forgot to teach him to swim.

I wouldn't underrate his performance based on the Braves lack of a "stud line-up".
There aren't many teams with a better 1-6 than the Braves put out there today..
Furcal
Green
Drew
Chipper
Estrada
Andruw
That is nothing to scoff at. Give some props to TA2.

Furcal Free Swinger Green Rook Drew I'll give you that one Chipper hurt after one AB Estrada rook, but a darn good one Andruw he'll swing if the ball is rolled to the plate

I added in some thoughts on the hitters into your post...
sorry, the lineup doesn't impress me. I do however feel that his pitches looked good while he still had energy.

I can't think of many teams with better 1-6 to be frank..I can think of a few with better 3-5..but the only teams I can think of with a better overall 1-6 are the Yankees and Cardinals.

sox (both of them)
I like lineups that will make the pitchers pay for being wild ... taking pitches... in the braves lineup above only chipper and estrada are disciplined enough to do anything like that, and chipper got hurt.

*The only reason I'm not including Maggs is because you mentioned Chippers injury.
