How huge was Teyshawn Prince in this series with Indiana? Sure he didnt score, but that was a perfect example of why you dont have to score to be effective. His block on Miller in game 3 was just amazing, while his stuff on Oneal last night took the air out of the Pacers. The guy may not be a bigtime scorer or a cagey veteran, but Teyshawn saved the Pistons on more than one occasion this yr.
BTW - where did Billups go during the Indiana series? Talk about a guy disapearing.
Anyway - for those of you who think the Lakers will roll over the Pistons, you've got a suprise comming. Im not saying the Pistons will win the Championship, but we will give them a better series than Minnesota did - thats for sure.
I'm an avid Piston's fan and I'm saying Lakers in 6, I can't say anything else.
Who cares though we won the East's version of the championship, whoever would have come out of the east would have just been a sacrificial lamb for the west anyways.
Billups > Payton
Hamilton << Bryant
Prince = George
R.Wallace >> Malone
B. Wallace < Shaq
Larry Brown < Phil Jackson
Detroit's Bench << Laker's Bench
That's how I see it.
If Ben Wallace can somehow contain Shaq from having huge games, the Pistons got a shot at it. I don't care how good Rip's been doing, Kobe's a lot tougher to matchup with than Reggie Miller (and that's the understatement of the year). Rasheed should be able to dominate Malone, but 'should' is the key work.
I still think the Lakers will eventually win it because their bench is much better, but if the Pistons can take at least 1 of the first 2 in LA they have a chance.
I really don't think the Lakers bench is "much better". Hunter and James are capable of starting in the league (and have this year) and Okur was a starter until the Pistons got Rasheed. Corliss is a former 6th man of the year as well.

err... I don't think hamilton is that much worse than bryant...
also, I think rooting for the yankees and celtics is illegal.
Give a man a fish and he'll eat for a day, teach a man to fish and he'll drown because you forgot to teach him to swim.

I think they're two different types of players. Hamilton is more of a 'pure' shooter who can't create his own shot as well. I think of him kind of like Redick (sp?) of Duke, he's money most times coming off of screens and such while Kobe is more of an 'NBA' type player who creates his own shot and shots for his teammates, therefore Kobe is better suited the one-on-one NBA style than Hamilton. With that being said I think that will be the most interesting matchup along with Wallace/Shaq because Kobe is very underrated as a defender IMO. I may actually pay attention to this series when flipping back and forth between baseball games.
