of course you got ripped. teixeira was my gucci bag. as it turns out, my carhart bag (dmitri young) is probably going to end up being more fashionable.
dammit.
my real question is why? he looks awfully similar to last year, even smoking some balls that i've seen. granted, i'm not catching every at bat, but it seems like there's nothing too dramatic that's keeping him back.
I have Castilla, Ward, and Overbay playing ahead of him on my team. Just bench him for somebody else right now, because he'll eventually pull a Jeter and snap out of his slump in a big way.
I'm sticking with him, partly because he is certainly better than any FA options and I know I won't get anything for him in trade value, but also we all know he can't be THIS bad and hitting in that phenomenal texas lineup should pick him up. stick with him
I finally dropped him today, as a matter of fact. I stuck with him for a while, but I've lost patience. What sealed the deal was that he's my least productive offensive player over the past month. I couldn't waste the roster spot any longer when there were a few free agent starters worth checking out.
I've got Hafner and Konerko splitting time at 1B and Chavez at 3B.
don't know if you Teixera owners saw this on ESPN, but in a Gammons chat he said the Rangers are shopping him for pitching, in a Scott Boras client purge.
