I have a 25 man roster question for ya..

Is Jon Valentine getting sent down this week, or is he going to be in the bullpen? And who would be activated this week to take his roster spot? I have Castro and Wilson as still "on the 25 man roster" and Larson not back till next week, is this correct?

what am I missing?

I have an obscure rule in one of my weekly leagues that gives waiver priority to players being sent to the DL or minors.
I need waiver priority as my only hope to snatch Burnett.

Yeah, Valentine is surely getting sent down. I don't know why he even started in the first place. Reith should have started, couldn't of done any worse. Valentine had no business being up now anyways.

as of right now Valentine has not been sent down. But he was only up to replace Paul Wilson for 1 start. And with his 27.00ERA I think he will be sent down sometime tomorrow probably.

I may be too late for you, but nobody really knows about Valentine right now. When they sent Ryan Wagner down to the minors, they left a hole in their bullpen. I know Valentine was in the bullpen for yesterday's game and didn't get used, but whether he stays there or not is still a question. They rarely use that last bullpen spot.

My guess (and it's just a guess) is that they'll keep him around to use in long relief in the case that some starter implodes in the next few games. Then if he's not used, he'll make another start for Wilson if he's not able to make his next start. After that he'll get shipped out to make room for Larson. (note: They should send him down and bring up a real reliever, but that'd mean paying for two plane tickets, and that's way too much money for the Reds to spend)
