That's because bonds isn't in the player's association anymore. espn has some sort of tie with the MLBPA, so they can't use his real name.

I got my man Bonds in the second round and I'm glad to have him. I got Soriano Giambi and Rolen along with Randy so I'm content to be in playoff senario.

Well that mistake has 14 HR and 38 runs, batting .366, Ill gladly take that late first round/2nd round.

Well, Yahoo Baseball is the official game of the MLBPA and his name is Barry Bonds in their game. Why?

I'll therorize that ESPN just overreacted. :-D
