Player of the month?

Postby Quaker » Mon May 31, 2004 6:17 pm

Who would you vote as MLB fantasy player of the month?

My vote goes to Berkman, who, as of his last single which puts 2-4 today, is hitting for the month of May:

.400 9 HRs 24 RBIs 20 R and even 1 SB

Honorable mention

Arod .333 8 HRs 22 RBIs 22 Runs and 7 SBs

Perhaps I'm biased because I have them both, and they've led me to 1st place this month after I was lingering in the middle of the pack for all of April.

Fantasy player of the month would have to be Berkman and a tie between A-Rod and Manny (I'll go with Manny, im a sox fan and hes paved the way for the sox success this month and last)

I think you've gotta mention Rolen...

.354 -- 31 Hits -- 5 HRs -- 26 RBI -- 14 Runs

and what about everyone's favorite superstud, Rob Mackowiak?

.301 -- 28 Hits -- 8 HRs -- 24 RBI -- 19 Runs -- 3 SB

Obviously, Berkman beats out both of them, but you've gotta give props to Rolen...the guy has been absolutely en fuego since game 1.

Ahhh...forgot about the Big Unit. I was thinking it's only hitting. Yeah, I dunno how you can argue with numbers like RJs.

I was only thinking hitters too, probably because all my pitchers have been mediocre to bad this month.

I think it'd be fair to say Hitting MVP-Berkman, Pitching MVP- RJ

I've always been a big fan of Johnson and I hope he keeps it up.

Sean Casey has had a darn good month too, especially after today's 2 HRs and 4 RBIs. No one thought he'd keep up the hot bat after a .414 April, but he hit .380 in May with 6 HRs and 22 RBIs and 24 Rs.

Dye's been pretty bad this month. I only know because he's on my team.

But yeah, it's gotta be Berkman or RJ.
