He hit one today, which puts him at 5 for the year. That averages out to a HR every 13.4 games.
In his past five seasons, he averaged a HR every 5 games.
When I drafted him in the 20th round, I thought I was getting a steal who would hit 30 HRs if he could play an entire season. Well, he's been healthy, but he's only on pace to hit 12 HRs.
I know he's a streaky hitter, but what's going on?
Does anyone think he'll pick up the pace?

No need to pitch to Jenkins with Sexson gone.
Experience is a hard teacher. She gives the test first, the lesson afterwards.

That would explain some power decrease, but I don't think it can account for that large of a decrease.

That explains the first month but with Overbay's production they are pitching to Jenkins. So far thsi year they are jamming Jenkins with off speed junk inside and he is chasing it causing his poor production. He has always been a free swinger and is a really streaky guy so its a concern. When he finds the zone he generally goes on a tear so hopefully tonights performance is the beginning of a hot streak.
