I think he could win a batting title....He will never hit 30 HR, but I think he will make a career of being around .320-20-90 every year if not better.
In the minors he always hit for great average and modest power at every level....I would put him somewhere between David Ortiz and Sean Casey.....probably more like Ortiz, with a lil less power potential.
I would say he is a younger David Ortiz....and if he gets the chance to play everyday this season, he may be a nice 7th-9th round pick next year in most leagues.
lol... anyways i dunno too much specifically about Harvey and the Royals but i would imagine that for this year atleast his playing time will be limited a lil bit by Sweeney and Stairs. anyways, i think being a free swinger will cause him to go through some extended slumps in his first few years... and yeah, he has hit for rhidulously high BA in the minors too. personally, i'm not sold on him this year as a 1B unless its a deep league.
Manny Ramirez....$20 million
Pedro Martinez....$17.5 million
Curt Schilling...$12 million (and a $2 million bonus)
Never hearing a Yankee fan chant 1918 again...priceless.
His swing reminds me of a right-handed Shawn Green. He looks physically like a power hitter but his minor league numbers indicate otherwise. Kcbelieves is a bit optimistic in his assessment, but I could see regular Sean Casey like seasons of .300-15-85.

.320-20-90 is not that far off...wow I guess I really missed teh mark there didnt I?
Harvey has been a free agent in my 14 team Roto league all year, and I have almost picked him up numorous times. I currently have Konerko at Util, and already have Pujols and Helton starting so I don't have room for him. I think he deserves a spot in leagues larger than 10 teams.
He's my replacement for Giambi in the Cafe Challenge. So far, I like what I see Playing time was really the only issue before, which seems ot be a thing of the past. He'll have decent power (25 HR's maybe) and hit for good average.
"Jack, will you call me, if you're able?"
"I've got your phone number written, in the back of my Bible."
