I know he's hurt but that's insane isn't it?

He has arthritis, he won't be back for months potentially and he may never be the same. A mistake, perhaps, but not insane.

We have 1 DL spot in my league. I dropped him 3 weeks ago for Jose Guillen in an 5X5 H2H league. Nobody's picked him up yet, so I must not be too crazy.

I dropped him in the 2 teams I had him in over 3 weeks ago and he has been dropped in 2 of my other leagues. No one has picked him up.

With that injury he is out indefinitely.

The guy who dropped him probably already had Peavy, Beckett, Prior, Nomar, and Sosa on the DL and needed a body on the field and bit the bullet and dropped his losses.

He was dropped in my league too. I had an extra DL spot, so I'm taking a chance on him (nothing ventured, nothing lost, I figure).

Here's what SportingNews said on Saturday about his status:

Garret Anderson - OF, Angels May 29, 8:52 p.m.

Anderson (back) is doing some light field work and hopes to take batting practice next week.

Fantasy Source spin: That's a good sign, but still no official word on when he might be back.
