I was off to a rough start when Rivera and hampton both went on DL, and now Jeter, oh boy. I am allowed 2 DL slots. My roster is below. Fortuately, I did have Cabrera as a backup SS. What do I do now to regain control a bit? I really hate to drop anyone, I know Hoffman wont be back for a while, so he would probably be first to go, what do you guys suggest going after with my current team status?

C- Toby Hall
1B- Derek Lee
2B- Durham
SS- jeter
3B- Rolen
Of- Abreu
OF- P. Wilson
OF- Hunter
Utilt- Phelps
Bench- V. Wells, Crede, Cabrera

Starters- Pedro, W. Miller, O. Perez, Beckett, Hampton, Moss

Relievers- Baez, Villahaute, MacDougal,Fran. Rodriguez, Hawkins

DL- Rivera, Hoffman

Thanks for all respsonses.

First of all, cut Hampton! It will take him half a season at least to start to pitch decently. Take a look at Erik Almonte, the young Yankees shortstop that will be called on to fill in for Jeter.
"I tried to hit a 1,000-foot homer. I went down on the ground and wasn't the same after that."

Drop Hawkins

Latroy Hawkins won't add any value to your roster -- dump him. Francisco Rodriguez could be decent for holds, but if you have to drop someone, he or Looper should be the next ones to go.

I agree with joe61878, those three guys are all immediately dropable. Latroy Hawkins would be my first, followed by Rodriguez.

i agree with these guys about hawkins but dont waste your time with almonte the I want to win now yankees will not waste their time waiting for him to mature into the position and will probably end up trading for a veteran, possibly cabrera lol!
